Social media agency announces physical therapist program
7/11/2012
Maximize Social Media LLC recently announced the launching of its physical therapist online marketing program. The social media agency is using this program to focus on enhancing marketing services directed towards physical therapy and other wellness and healthcare practices.
"Many physical therapists rely on word-of-mouth to grow and sustain their businesses, and social media is the ultimate platform for such marketing," said senior vice president of Maximize Social Media Craig Collins. "Social media provides a platform for satisfied patients to tell all their friends and connections about the practice, thereby amplifying the word-of-mouth marketing."
Along with managing typical social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, the agency will also be focusing on helping practices optimize their Google Plus local listings. An increased Google Plus presence with enhanced keyword management could allow these local practices to show up more frequently in their consumers' google searches.
For a physical therapist practice, and especially for a traveling physical therapist, social media has a host of potential benefits. Patients seek a sense of trust when working with their healthcare practitioners, and none more so than in a physical therapist relationship that features close proximity and regular meetings. Traveling physical therapists face even more challenges in building these relationships, especially if they are constantly on the move and don't see their clients frequently. However, a robust social media presence will allow their patients to feel more connected, even when traveling.
Additionally, according to The PT Project, social media websites are a great way to exchange information. Along with sharing best practices with fellow therapists, social media can be a great way to track what patients are saying about your business.
