Physical therapy job-seekers target APTA convention
1/11/2010
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), a nationally recognized professional organization, will hold an industry convention in mid-February in San Diego at which recent grads and other practitioners may apply for permanent and travel physical therapy jobs.
Between February 17 and 20, the APTA will hold the Combined Sections Meeting (CSM), which focuses on access to programs designed by all 18 of the association's specialty sections.
Officers of the organization expect more than 7,500 physical therapy professionals from around the country to attend and participate in the convention's programming, networking opportunities and exhibit hall.
In addition to providing job opportunities within the physical therapy field, employed practitioners may also learn about new products and services to keep pace with the expanding industry.
"In a constantly changing educational and cultural environment, it is tempting to adopt new theories, whether in practice or in professional education, with great enthusiasm," said Karen Hayes, a physical therapist presenting at the convention.
The event will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, located at 111 West Harbor Drive in San Diego, California. Advanced registration for the convention ends on January 20.
Reflectx Staffing, a travel and permanent staffing company for physical therapists, will attend the APTA event, exhibiting at booth 937.
