Indian Health Services: A New Type of Travel Experience

Bookmark and Share
Everyone can relate to the excitement that a travel opportunity brings! Travel affords us the opportunity to explore other areas of the country or world, try different foods and explore new cultures. For most of, travel is a short term break - a week or two to recharge the batteries, reconnect with family and relax.

At Reflectx Staffing, the prospect of traveling is a bit of a different concept. Traveling for Reflectx means experiencing a new work environment in a new community. Coincidentally, it affords the travel therapist with many of the same things – an opportunity to explore other areas of the country, try different foods and explore new cultures.

We are fortunate to have many customers across the country. Our traditional customer consists of hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics and schools. We also have the fortune of serving a new customer known as Indian Health Services (I.H.S.) and this is where I believe Reflectx offers a unique angle to the travel therapy experience.

The Indian Health Service is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services. The primary responsibility is to provide care to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The I.H.S. provides comprehensive health services for approximately 1.9 million American Indians and Alaska Natives who belong to 564 federally recognized tribes in 35 states.

Currently, we are seeking Physical Therapists that are truly interested in a true travel experience. An assignment within the I.H.S. introduces you to a wonderful culture that in most cases has access to the latest equipment and technology. The locations for each opportunity, although remote at times, offers a chance to enhance skills, meet new people and learn more about tribal traditions.

I am currently seeking candidates interested in opportunities in Arizona, South Dakota, Montana and New Mexico. The opportunities that exist are for either permanent or travel positions. Please call me at 813-371-3413 or email me at to discuss this once in a lifetime opportunity.
